The current assumption driving Information Security and Compliance:

More trust = better Information Security

I want to challenge the validity of this assumption. My proposition:

More untrust = better Information Security

Un-trusted.net is about exploring this concept.

If, in the end, this proposition has value, it could lead to useful change. On the other hand, if it does not, then we would have a much better understanding of why trust and compliance are the best route – and then we could stop bitching about it.
